DESCRIPTION: The Phillipsburg Ranch stretches from the dense timber on the south, across the lush Trout Creek Valley, to scattered timber on the north. Seven center pivots color the valley green, fatten the livestock, and feed the wildlife. Fish-filled Trout Creek bisects the ranch for about two miles.
LOCATION: The ranch begins about five miles southwest
of Phillipsburg, and stretches across the beautiful Phillipsburg valley.
Beautiful Georgetown Lake is just 6 miles east of the ranch. The lake has great fishing, andis very popular with its marina and many fine lakeshore cabins.
Butte is about 55 miles east.
ACREAGE: The ranch has 2,360 deeded acres plus the 204 head private Marshall Creek Forest Service Permit. This permit is only a 3 hour trail northwest of the ranch. The ranch has about 850 acres irrigated by 7 pivots and three wheel lines. From the Flint Creek Waters Users Association, the ranch receives 691 acre feet of stored reservoir water, in addition to the ranchs in-flow water rights. |
